The market is changing. It has changed vastly over just the past few years. We're really having to compete all across the country to get candidates, and to get quality candidates. And we need to not only focus on getting those candidates and increasing those candidate pools, but also making sure that we're giving our managers the knowledge and the tools to make the best hiring decision so that we get candidates that will be successful and that will stay.

We were sorely understaffed in our recruiting team and had really become very tactical and operational. We didn't have the time or the manpower to be strategic in any way, and so by working with Lean Human Capital and using the data, we were able to prove our case for adding some FTEs to our department, growing our team. And then through what our team learned from The Recruiter Academy, we were able to become more strategic, become more respected by our managers.

Being benchmarked against other organizations that are going through the same trials and tribulations as us in the healthcare labor market is so valuable, and not only for myself and for my team. But being able to show on paper to our executive team that we're doing really great in some areas, we need to improve in some areas, and this is what we need to improve. Being able to put a dollar amount on it and saying if we spend this much money on these tools or these additional FTEs, we can save this much money on agency, or overtime, or all the other costs of turnover. And that has really helped us be able to move forward in our recruitment efforts.
