The art therapist will serve patients all over our service coverage area which includes a 50 miles radius around our office location. Historically, case load can range from 15-25 patients at any given time and the art therapist is able to independently set weekly/daily schedule of visits. While patient needs are priority, this role has flexibility to participate in Hospice and Grief Support Services initiatives and support groups to be able to place a spotlight on utilization of art therapy interventions.
Graduate of accredited school of Expressive Therapy:
Masters degree in Art Therapy; Art Therapy registered and board certified (ATR-BC) preferred.
Two years related therapy experience; previous experience with individuals with life-limiting illness preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of the differences between adult and children's reaction to grief and life threatening situations.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a team, developing productive working relationships with diverse groups of people.
Meets the MWHC suitability criteria for operators of vehicles; reliable mode of transportation required.
