The Hospice Data Analyst provides critical support to the organization's Quality and Financial initiatives through accurate, efficient, and cost-effective collection and analysis. The incumbent will be responsible for organizing concurrent and retrospective data and will work in collaboration with other Associates, leadership, and outside agencies and/or consultants to achieve the program's overall goals and demands for compliance and improvement.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Researches financial statistical irregularities and develops, implements, and documents corrective actions, including but not limited to charge issues, reimbursement related issues in conjunction with Revenue Cycle and internal processes.
Performs outcomes analysis, identifies trends, initiates review and assists others with data analysis including an explanation of limitations of data and how to use it appropriately.
Maintains database(s) and ensures data integrity by monitoring data entered by end-users, trending recurrent issues and identifying discrepancies, facilitating corrective action and education of end-users,
developing workflows, importing data into various electronic systems.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of regulatory and fiscal operations, outcomes reporting and integrates that knowledge into daily operations including auditing of case data and department charges.
Prepares and generates reports, graphs, and presentations for staff, committee or other meetings. Generates productivity and performance review and improvement reports. Reports relevant data to Federal, State, and National organizations.
Assists with coordination of quality improvement team meetings and collaborates with leadership to identify relevant topics for discussion.
Coordinates, implements and presents educational activities for Associates related to patient safety and satisfaction through Associate group meetings and in-services.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associates degree required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Proficient in Excel with the ability to produce and analyze large amounts of data, required.
Demonstrated superior organization and multitasking skills, required.
Experience in medical field, preferred
Experience in extracting data from Electronic Medical Records, preferred
